Foods That Lower Blood Pressure

What foods lower blood pressure... Many foods do this. It's good to know which ones! Below is the list of food you need to include in your menu...

Please, as you are reading it, remember that this list is only one (albeit important one) part of your action plan.

Please consider your overall lifestyle change, include herbs that lower blood pressure and blood pressure lowering supplements.
Just do what my own brother did with such a spectacular success!

Blood pressure can be a killer. Really.

Here you will find more about high blood pressure natural remedies in general.

Foods that lower blood pressure

A high diet fiber and supplemental fiber is a must!
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. 50% (or more) of everything you eat should be fruits and veggies:

  • apples
  • bananas
  • cantaloupe
  • melons
  • grapefruit
  • prunes
  • raisins
  • broccoli
  • cabbage
  • potatoes (baked)
  • brussel sprouts
  • eggplant
  • garlic (high potency enteric coated capsules are excellent)
  • peas
  • squash
  • sweet potatoes
  • zucchini
  • brown rice
  • buckwheat
  • millet
  • oats
Drink plenty of distilled water.

The following juices are excellent:

  • beet
  • carrot
  • celery
  • currant
  • cranberry
  • citrus fruit
  • parsley
  • spinach
  • watermelon

Include these foods in your menu. This is critical in achieving normal blood pressure level.

Speaking of foods that lower blood pressure, please remember that a salt free diet is truly essential for lowering blood pressure.

Unfortunately, just lowering your salt intake is not good enough in majority of the cases. You need to strongly consider eliminating all salt from your diet.

One way of doing this is to drop the table salt from your grocery shopping list altogether.
Develop a new habit of reading all labels in detail.

Avoid all foods that have "sodium" ot the symbol "Na" on the label.

Below are some examples of foods to avoid in high blood pressure:

  • diet soft drinks
  • all foods with mold inhibitors and preservatives
  • most sugar substitutes
  • soy sauce
  • canned vegetables
  • baking soda (people use baking soda for gout, DO NOT do this if you happen to have high blood pressure!)
  • ready to eat, commercially prepared foods
Place emphasis on the right foods, avoid all killer foods (the last paragraph above) and this alone will be a great first step in the right direction!
